The Adept AD-RAIL is a complete in-screed water underfloor heating kit for solid/screed and beam-and-block floors.
WRAS-approved 16mm PERT-AL-PERT pipe is held in grip rails at 200mm centres, creating a consistent layout designed to deliver approximately 100W/m². Kits cover clear heated areas from 20m² to 120m² and are configured as a single heating zone.

The quantities below are taken from the AD-RAIL kit schedule. Choose the kit using the clear floor area that will actually be heated, excluding fixed kitchen units, sanitaryware and other permanent furniture.

How is AD-RAIL installed?
Install the grip rails over suitable rigid PIR insulation, then press the 16mm pipe into the preformed slots at 200mm centres. Fit the edge insulation around the room perimeter before the specified screed is installed over the completed and pressure-tested pipework.
Installation requirements
- Insulation: use a suitable rigid PIR insulation beneath the system.
- Screed depth: allow for a minimum 65mm sand-and-cement screed or 50mm pumped screed, subject to the screed manufacturer's requirements.
- Vapour control: some insulation and screed combinations require a vapour barrier directly over the insulation.
- System design: confirm the room heat loss, available floor build-up and final floor finish before installation.
- Testing: pressure-test the pipework before screeding and have the system connected and commissioned by a suitably competent installer.
Single-zone and multi-zone projects
Each standard kit is supplied for one heating zone. Larger or room-by-room projects can be divided into additional zones using a suitable manifold arrangement and compatible Adept or Heatmiser controls.
