10W/m Flexheat Electric Underfloor Heating Cable

FlexHeat 10W/m loose heating cable brings comfortable warmth to tiled floors while giving you the freedom to lay the cable around the shape of your room. It is a practical choice for bathrooms, kitchens and other areas where a loose cable layout suits the available floor space.

The thin cable can be installed over suitably prepared concrete or timber floors and embedded in flexible tile adhesive or self-levelling compound. It is especially useful for renovation projects where keeping the floor build-up low matters.

Choose the right cable for your floor

Measure the usable floor area, excluding fixed units and sanitaryware, then choose a cable size and layout to suit. The cable spacing determines the heat output per square metre: closer spacing provides more heat. For primary room heating, the system must be sized against the room's heat loss.

Tiles and natural stone are well suited to underfloor heating. Other finishes require a suitable self-levelling layer and confirmation from the flooring manufacturer that the finish is compatible with electric underfloor heating.

Installation and temperature control

Use a compatible underfloor heating thermostat with a floor sensor to control the floor temperature. Plan the complete cable layout before fixing it: the heating cable must not be cut, shortened, crossed or overlapped.
