The great news is that UFH can be installed into various types of floor constructions.

Screed is always the best solution as it's a thick thermal mass which stores the heat for much longer than anything else. It's also the most cost effective solution with regards to the running cost as the flow temperature is only 45-50 deg C. However underfloor heating can be installed on Timber suspended floors as well (by using Aluminium Spreader plates or Screed infill).
