Electric Undertile Heating Cable
Product code: DM10KIT/90
EAN:
ELEKTRA DM10 loose heating cable provides comfortable warmth beneath tiled and natural stone floors. Its flexible layout makes it a practical choice for bathrooms, kitchens and rooms where the cable needs to fit around an irregular floor shape.
The thin cable is embedded in flexible tile adhesive or self-levelling compound over a suitably prepared subfloor. It can be used for the warm-floor effect, or as the main heat source when the system has been designed to meet the room's heat loss.
Choosing your cable size
Measure the usable floor area, excluding fixed furniture, kitchen units and sanitaryware. Select the cable output to suit the heated area, floor finish and heating requirement. Cable spacing determines the output per square metre, so plan the complete layout before installation.
Use the table below to compare cable sizes and guide coverage areas for timber and concrete bases. Final sizing and spacing should follow the installation manual; for primary heating, a heat-loss assessment is required.

Installation and floor finishes
Fully embed the cable and its joints in a suitable flexible tile adhesive or self-levelling layer. Tiles and natural stone are ideal finishes; compatible wood, laminate, carpet and vinyl require the correct floor build-up and the flooring manufacturer's approval.
Use a compatible underfloor heating thermostat with a floor sensor. The heating cable must not be cut or shortened, and electrical connection and testing must be carried out by a qualified electrician. Download the manual below for layout guidance, testing requirements and warranty conditions.
