The Adept AD-SLIM water underfloor heating kit is a low-profile retrofit system for projects where floor height is limited. It combines 18mm grooved high-density panels with 12mm PERT pipe, an A-rated pump and the appropriate control arrangement for the selected kit size.

Installation guidance
The grooved panels are installed over a suitable level and stable substrate, and the 12mm pipe is pressed into the routed channels at 150mm centres. The system should be pressure-tested before the final floor finish is installed.
Tiles can be installed directly over the AD-SLIM panels when the complete build-up and adhesive system are suitable for underfloor heating. Vinyl and carpet finishes require a suitable load-bearing layer; the existing system guidance specifies a minimum 6mm plywood overlay or a compatible self-levelling compound with 5mm latex.
Floor finishes
AD-SLIM can be used beneath tiles, engineered wood, suitable vinyl and carpet. Always confirm that the complete floor build-up—including adhesives, overlays and underlays—is approved by the relevant manufacturers for use with water underfloor heating.
Planning your system
Select the kit size that most closely matches the heated floor area, excluding fixed units and other areas where pipework will not be installed. The system design should take account of the room heat losses, floor construction and chosen finish.
