Types of Flexheat Underfloor Heating Mats

100W/m² is the lowest heat output mat available from us and is ideal for mitigating the coldness of chilly tiles, also known as the "warm floor effect". It's recommended to lay this system on an insulation board, as it is not apt for use as a primary heating source.

160W/m² is appropriate for a variety of projects as a main heat source in adequately insulated areas (compliant with current building regulations).

While this system is promoted for use beneath tiles, it can also be utilized under most underfloor heating-compatible floor finishes if accompanied by a 10mm bed of self-levelling, establishing it as the most adaptable system available in the market.

200w/m² provides the highest heat output per square meter within our mat solutions and is suggested for areas with significant heat loss, such as conservatories.

It should also be employed when installing on a concrete floor in instances where insulation boards are not utilized. This system is designed for use under tiled or stone floors, delivering maximum heat output into your space.

Flexheat® adhesive mats should be installed above a structural substrate floor, like concrete screed or 18mm marine plywood. We advise that this system be placed onto an insulation board, such as a XPS or Tile Backer Boards, and be covered in either a flexible tile adhesive or a flexible leveling compound.
